While driving home work the battery and brake light came on about two minutes later the car stop move. I had my feet on the pedal and the car would not move. At this point I was still rolling so I turn into a side block and out of the main road. Luckily it was late at night and there was no cars on the road. I tried turning on the car but it would not start. The battery was died, I had my car friend come over and jump my car. The car turned on and the battery and brake lights were off. the next day I take it to check the battery and they said battery is fine. Ok, few days later it happens to me again the car stalls out while drive and this time on the express way, got over to the shoulder lane and pop the trunk and boasted with my battery pack I had. Started up again, take it to the shop had it tested again nothing everything looks good. A few days later again but now the service engine come on as well. Called mechanic up to meet me at location. Waited for him to place a new battery and start the car up. Mechanic take extra step and hooked up his computer to car and too it out with my for a ride. The car stalled on us again, mechanic said alternator is not working correctly. Need to change alternator. Lets see how this end. will update info.
Note: did some research and Nissan been having this problem with their alternator for along time.

I have a 2009 Nissan Murano. I have changed the alternator 3 times. Yesterday it left me on the highway in the afternoon traffic. I only have 79,000 miles. The last time I changed it was March 2015. The 12 months had passed for the warranty. I had a car for 13 years and never had these issues. Is this normal for the Murano?

Alternator died while trying to get pass the traffic light. Luckily it was evening and low traffic. Such a pain in the _ . A nearby car enthusiates bought and replace it for me on the street the next day. I took him almost 5 hours even with proper tools. If you think of replacing it yourself, good luck.
Update from Sep 27, 2018: Now 110,000 miles. Battery weak. Replace with Duralast Gold. 2 days later, Brake and Battery indicators flickers on and off occasionally. Feeling lack of power on acceleration once a while. Now the O/D indicators coming on and off. RPM revved up to 3000 once a while on normal drive. Turn off engine and restart no problem. Problems occurred while driving. Checked on internet, suggestion about replacing alternator. Got one from Remy reman. Will wait this weekend to install.

My car also gave out on me while riding down the street. I have to replace the alternator 3 times. Brought a brand new gold battery. Guess what? After almost $900 still not working.
